The final proofread has been completed, with an extra 2,000 words cut from the last final draft (there’s been about seven “final” drafts, Haha). It has made University of Life a leaner, meaner word fart, and I’m really happy with it.
I’ll receive my proof copy on January 2nd, 2017. I’ll give it a read and then release it into the world, as long as no typos or errors have crept past my editors two passes and my own 47,000 read-throughs.
I wanted to have it out by Xmas as I wanted to give a few copies away to family and friends, but I can still do that in January without the Ho Ho Ho.
I’m looking forward to getting this one out there and seeing what happens with it. I think it’ll be my last one for at least a year, as I’m prepping a short film and focusing on some different areas of writing for a while (mainly a feature script that I’ve been re-writing like a crazy person for years).
Exciting times ahead…
To anyone who reads my ramblings (and/or my books), Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year!
